The Winners are in for the Memorial Day Meatball Contest! Yep, that's right a meatball contest! My family along with 11 other families celebrated Memorial Day Weekend "Italian Style" in Fairfield, New Jersey yesterday! And the winners are (drum roll please)...........................
First Place: Lauren Cucuzza
Second Place: Phil Maestoso (owner of Hollywood Pizzeria & Restaurant)
Third Place: Gina Chirico
It was a lot of fun and everyone's meatballs tasted great and believe it or not, many of them tasted the same! I guess that's what happens since we were all borned and raised Italian! I was happy to take home the third place medal and am looking forward to the Memorial Day Weekend "Italian Style" in Fairfield, New Jersey next year too! Who said Memorial Day Weekend was about hot dogs and hamburgers anyway???
Meatballs, macaroni and hot, fresh Calandra's bread are another three reasons to move to Fairfield, New Jersey! (As if you needed a reason.....)
