Beautiful shots.  Life is good in the garden and the kitchen.

Roy and Dolores Kelley visited Longwood Gardens on Saturday, April 30, 2011. This is one of our favorite travel destinations and a wonderful place for flower photographs. Canon PowerShot G11 camera. Photograph by Roy Kelley.

I could go for some of that basil with tomato and mozzarella

Georgina, love Maui and love your photos of the basil. I always use nasturtiums in summer salads...so nice for color. Looks like your garden produces a plenty--we need sunshine in the Pacific Northwest. Maybe those trade winds could blow a little our way....

Debb - the trade winds are really honking, so sunshine is coming your way now!

Georgina-Great looking plants. Does that make it easy to eat more fresh fruit and veggies?

Georgina - I would love a list of everything in that second photo.....I have basil on the balcony, growing together with the tomatoes.

Wayne - yes it makes it very easy to eat plenty of veggies.  We have an abundance, so we don't bother filling up on potatoes and rice most of the time.

BJ - on top is lemon basil and romaine lettuce, middle is nasturtium flowers and cilantro, bottom is purple spring onions and manoa lettuce!  All of it together makes a wonderful salad.  Basil and tomatoes are a natural combination!
