After weeks and weeks of preparation by family and the experts we hired, we're at the end of a very long road. For everyone involved there is much satisfaction. This is indeed a job well done. In all fairness, the four siblings did the lion's share of the work even before I came on the scene. It seems to me, we can make the job so much easier for our own children if we stop cluttering our homes and lives and start to get rid of stuff before it becomes someone else's job.
Geri...the end result looks lovely. Your post made me think of having to clean out my grandparents home many years ago. It was awful having to go through everything and decide what to keep and what to get rid of. Wise words of advice...stop cluttering our homes!
Looks like someone sure did some hard work. What a difference. When my grandmother passed away it was hard because she had left so much behind and no one had the heart to get rid of it.
You make a good point, Geri. The time to take care of all these things is now. House looks beautiful. Should be a quick sale.
Geri, I have been fighting this battle for many years but my obcession with rummage sales and thrift stores has made my progress very slow.
I'll say it's a job well done my friend.............but with your direction, how could they miss!
Hi Gerri,
You sure did a great job getting this home staged and ready for the market!
May it sell quickly and your sellers are extremely happy with the end result!
Geri - great job and hope there is a very quick sale!
I think everyone who turns 50 should make a commitment to themselves to give away 10% of their "stuff" every year. When they turn 60, they won't have all that clutter to keep them from enjoying their later years. Just my $0.02.
