What do you do if you need to sell, but your kitchen is stuck in 1985? Investing thousands of dollars in a renovation would eat into your profits and you don't have much cash on hand for a kitchen update. Well, home staging statistics have shown that minimal investments usually generate the largest return on investment. So put down the sledgehammer and pick up a brush. Here is a kitchen remodel that was done for around $600!
OK Owensboro, Ky and ActiveRain members, here's the skinny on this Home Staging transformation. The majority of this remodel is credited to the Rustoleum family of products. The counter tops and cabinets were both refinished with the Rustoleum transformation kits. These are simple and inexpensive products that produce a great result. A fresh coat of paint brightens the room while a new glass tile back splash ties the color scheme together perfectly. Add a new rug, roman shade and some accessories and VIOLA! This kitchen in now in 2011 and for only $600!
Remember, home staging is not always about spending money to sell, but rather using creativity and skill to re-use what you can, re-purpose what you have and buy only what's necessary. Let me know what you think about the before and after pictures! Good luck everyone and Happy Staging!
