Saturday, June 4, at Bushnell Park in Hartford Ct, is the Komen Race for the Cure
Breast Cancer is a horrible disease, that affects so many people, women and men. The strain on families is terrible and the efforts to find a cure are ongoing and expensive.
Here in Connecticut on Saturday, June 4 in Bushnell Park in Hartford Ct will be a number of events all with the common goal of raising money for the Susan G Komen foundation and finding a cure for breast cancer.
Events start at 7:00 AM with registration, with the race starting at 8:00 AM. There are various lengths of races and activities for all.
Go to the site for additional details and for information on making a donation even if you can't attend. My wife, a breast cancer survivor, will be there. She is recognized by me with all my transactions with a donation to the Susan G Komen Foundation.
This year our broker, Dave Alfano, has pledged for the cure, and I made my donation to not only support the cause, but him as well.
