Joe - welcome! I look forward to reading your blogs!
Joe-Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. It is educational, lots of work but fun and you meet wonderful folks from all over the USA and Canada and best of all you increase your business.
Welcome Joe!
The only advice I can give and they generally DON'T tell you in real estate school or MOST training....
BE CONSISTENT. Everything you do to generate business WORKS some of the time. Most agents are not CONSISTENT enough with what they do to ever see results. Mailouts, blogging, a website, door to door knocking, advertising in a magazine, advertising in the paper...it's all GOING to work with certain levels of success but it's about consistency that makes it RUN for you.
That and don't ever buy into SHOPPING CART ADVERTSING! LOL!
Congratulations on a good start! I look forward to your future blogs!
Joe - I've been learning so much from AR but haven't blogged yet. Way to go and just dive right in. Congrats on the feature and your new real estate career.

You sound like you are very willing to learn Joe. There are people here who will be giving you advice as you go. this is your first post, people are already stepping up. Listen to what they are saying and learn as you go. Post another blog about something; Your first real estate listing, what you learned here today, describe an event in your local area, the topics are endless once you start doing.

Hi Joe,
Welcome to Active Rain! You certainly started off your career the right way! There's no better place for real estate professionals to learn, grow & attract leads!!
My advice (not that you asked- ha ha) is to write about everything and anything, to let people get to know and like you, and to become your area "expert" and "go to resource". Learn about keywords & SEO and how to write with those 2 things in mind and you'll experience incredible results. It doesn't happen overnight, but it does happen!
I wish you the best of luck & great success!!!

Welcome, Take advantage of some of the Webinars. Great information on how to get started blogging and networking.
I'm new to, Joe, start with family and friends. That is how I got 2 listings with only being in the business in Illinois for 2 months. Then look at pre-foreclosures, expireds on the MLS and people who want to rent. I convert renters to buyers 30% of the time. Good luck and God Bless.
Welcome Joe,
No time like the present to dive right in. Like all fields and businesses being a real estate agent is challenging, but there are risks and rewards. I love being in charge of my own destiny and income.
Hope you enjoy and thrive!
All the best, Michelle
Congratulations on your first blog! Congratulations on your new career! Congratulations on your first featured blog! You are definitely on a roll!
Welcome to the rain. The best advice I can give you is to get yourself a great mentor and listen intently. Then read through the daily featured blogs here and learn as much as you can. This business is not for the faint hearted right now but you can be successful at it. I broke into real estate in 2009 (yeah I know, bad idea) and have made it a very successful career. Just takes lots of learning and lots of work. Best of luck!
