31 Day Challenges: Some Pain, Plenty of Gain
Today is May 31st, and this day marks the end of two great challenges for me.
First, is the end of the 31-Days of May Blogging Challenge. The goal was to simply write at least one blog post per day, excluding market reports and property listings (unless such posts included outstanding local information). I've done several of these challenges before, and there are days that the writing comes easy, and there are days when I am starting into a blank screen at 11:30 pm.
But the benefits far outweigh the pain in such a challenge. Along the way, I have connected with more great people on ActiveRain (my real estate blogging platform) and collected a bookful of great ideas to apply to my business.
Second, is the end of my 31-Day Low Sugar Challenge. This was a self-imposed challenge, designed to help me blast out of some dietary habits that I had fallen into. May I share with you that it took a good three weeks before I felt like I had real control of my diet? Switching to low-sugar foods was more of a challenge than the 31-Day Blogging Challenge, let me tell you.
But the benefits are multi-fold. A few extra pounds have fallen away, my spring and summer wardrobe fits just fine, and I have developed healthier self-awareness. In addition, I have gained the inspiration to move into some other health and fitness challenges.
I feel great, and I congratulate all of you who have completed the 31-Days of May Blogging Challenge. Keep up the good habits you have established, as they will serve you well.
