According to Kauai’s MLS there were 66 sales for the month of May 2011 with 20 of those being REOs or approximately 30 percent. This is an increase in percentage probably due to the increase in REO inventory. However this inventory may slow down due to Senate Bill 651, Act 48. Banks are canceling or postponing their current foreclosure sales until they make sure they are in compliance with the law.
