Purtis Creek State Park is hosting a "Kid Fish" day on June 4, 2011 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Meet at the fishing pier near the picnic area. The Park is located northeast of Cedar Creek Lake on FM 316, 3 miles north of Eustace.

Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center will be providing free admission for kids under 12 that day. A tournament for the largest catfish caught from 9am-2pm will bring great entertainment for kids 12 and under.

Come to Cedar Creek Lake and enjoy all the area has to offer.
