Oh, What a Night! I was awakened last night to the sound of thunder, over my head. The lightening lit up my room brighter than daylight. I know it was right over me because there was no delay between the lightening and the thunder. Sometimes I count the seconds between the lightening and the thunder. If there is a five second interval, the storm is 5 miles away; a nine second interval the storm is nine miles away, and so on.
Last night, it was lightening, CLAP, BOOM, RUMBLE, rumble, rumble. No delay. Eventually, it moved away and I fell back into dreamland.
Sometime after daylight, I heard a noise on my roof. It could have been Santa - it did sound like the hoofs of multiple reindeer. My husband said it must be birds. Those were some heavy footed birds. I slept again. After a night of frequently interrupted sleep, I am not dragging my a**, this morning. I feel rested and energized and ready to take charge of my day. Off I go to solve the problems of the world. Pump up your attitude, put a smile on your face and do something nice for someone today.
