Mililani All America City

In 1986 Mililani, Hawaii won the title: All America City.  What a perfect town to give that award to.  Mililani is a planned community that is a great place to live and work.

Mililani HS LogoOur town has more activities for the youth than anywhere in the state.  We have more sports fields, community recreation centers, community swimming pools and activities than anywhere on the state.  Our sports teams have won more state and national titles than any other community.  Our local chess club is the home of a two time national champion and more state champs than we can count.  Our rec. centers host everything from scout troops to martial arts programs to music and crafting lessons.  There is literally something for everyone.

Our roads are landscaped by a large staff from our Mililani Town Association (MTA).  MTA does a great job of protecting property values through the enforcement of covenants.

The businesses and members of our community support or schools and youth activities better than anywhere I have ever seen.  A few years ago we had a community group volunteer to paint the inside of one the buildings in Mililani Waena Elementary.  They asked our parent group to supply lunches.  That seemed easy enough.  Unfortunately word slipped out about the volunteer project.  Over 100 volunteers showed up that Saturday.  Before we knew it:

  • Mililani Drug FreeThe building was painted
  • The outside benches were painted
  • The weeds were pulled
  • Potting planters were prepared
  • Another half dozens projects done.
  • All materials needed and lunches were donated by members of the community.

That is just one example of what makes Mililani a community.

Randy, One day the family and I may visit Hawaii. It seems like such a faraway, exotic place. (Of course the Atlantic is THE ocean! Ha Ha) Congratulations upon a great event.

Andrew - The Atlantic is an ocean, but it is not as warm or as blue as our tropical Pacific.

Kathy - Be sure to say hi to me and WooHoo Sally when you visit.

Thesa - Supportive parents are a huge help for sure.

I remember when my kids were in Kindergarten/first grade and Mililani won that title. And it still is a wonderful centrally located planned community. It's a one of a kind area that's for sure with bunches to do for the whole family. I grew up in Mililani and so did my kids.

Sally - And you didn't turn out bad.  My children were born and still being raised here.  Mililani was my first choice to live in, when I got married.

Lucky we live Hawaii!  I have a client who just moved to Mililani (already had an Agent - I would've referred!) and I helped them move in... great community and beautiful homes out there!
