Happy National Donut Day Everyone!

Find Your Donuts in the Raleigh/ Cary/ Apex Area.

Folks, every year, on the first Friday in June, America celebrates a little known holiday...

National Donut Day!

Mmmm....Donuts!

Originally created in 1938 to honor the women who provided donuts to our soldiers in World War I, National Donut Day, in my opinion, just doesn't get it's due!

So, for anyone here in the Raleigh/ Cary/ Apex area of North Carolina, (the home state of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, by the way) here's a map to help you find your way to the nearest donut shop!

I, for one, like plain donuts with chocolate frosting on top!

Craig - I'm with Anita - a moment on the lips, forever on the hips - lol! Yesterday my husband and I decided to go to the Jersey Shore for the day and it is famous for ice cream waffles the size of your head. Of course I couldn't pass it by and at 3/4 of it. So I just can't partake in National Donut Day - sorry. But if I could, it would be a sour cream glazed donut from Dunkin Donuts - yum!

Craig, When I look at a donut, all I think about is the amount of sugar and fat in them. I have no problem saying pass. However, the fat and sugar in ice cream doesn't seem to bother me at all - go figure.
