Why Is Differentiating Views Important To You As An Agent Or Seller?
When you are selling a property online, logic should tell you the higher the mix of prospective buyers, the higher the likelihood of the right buyer finding the property. Lots of video sites have growing amounts of traffic but you need to consider how much of that traffic is actually tied specifically to property videos.
Interviews and conference videos are all very interesting. These types of videos ofte bring a spike of large numbers of viewers that can be impressive. But, don these viewers watch property videos? Many hope that informative content or "viral" videos bring buyers but our data shows that very few of those viewers that come to watch a conference video or interview go on to watch property videos...not even one. In short, they come to watch what they were drawn to watch. The hard message is that all viewers are not the same.
The Vidlisting.com Audience Is Composed Of Primarily Prospective Buyers
Strong statement, I know, but it is a statement also supported by our data. We are beginning to get enough traffic to our videos to see user behavior forming around videos (we had over 90,000 videos watched in August 2007 alone).
Vidlisting.com posted 59 properties and informative videos online that have achieved over 1000 video views within the past 6 months.
- 42 of these are property videos
- 17 videos involve non-property video content (out of 45 posted during the period)
Result: 71% of our most viewed content are property videos meaning that our vistors' mix of preferred content is geared towards property videos. Our non-property content gets a small percentage of the views of our properties..even when newly posted. That is good for you as an agent or seller.
The Trend Is Obvious
Of all of our property videos, the ratio is growing in terms of the percentage of properties that reach the 1000 video view threshold. We began signing video distribution agreements with other sites in late July 2007.
Property videos posted 1-30 April 2007: 62% have reached 1000 views to date
Property videos posted 1-31 May 2007: 66% have reached 1000 views to date
Property videos posted 1-30 June 2007: 100% have reached 1000 views to date
Property videos posted 1-31 July 2007: 88% have reached 1000 views to date
Property videos posted 1-31 August 2007: 100% reached 1000 views to date
Only 37% of all of the non-property video content that we posted in the prior 6 months has surpassed 1000 video views.

Vidlisting.com provides an cost-effective way to get prospective buyers to your properties. All of our property videos are professionally narrated in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and then distributed to real estate portals in the US, Europe, and Latin America. This gets your property viewed not only by people across town but also those with strong currencies such as the Euro.

If you are an agent, broker, agency, or videographer, drop me a note and let's get together at this year's NAR convention in Las Vegas or alternatively in Florida, Illinois, Texas, Georgia, Panama, or Virginia in the next three weeks. I think that you'll be surprised that effective real estate video involves far more than just a video file and a flash player...
