QR codes as a marketing tool

There are several QR codes in this Ocean View Realty Group Real Estate Book ad.

At the top the QR codes on the left take s you to the Ocean View Realty Group vacation rental web site and the one on the right takes you to the sales and leases web site. The codes imbedded in the property photos take you to the Ocean View Realty Group web site page for that property where there is more information and more photos.

The idea is to give readers with smart phones the ability to get more information and to see more photos immediately. And each time the codes are used Ocean View Realty Group gets a potential client looking at one of our web sites.

Hi Al - Some people like using QR codes while many have yet to start using them or don't understand their value.

I'm still riding the fence on their effectiveness. But this is one method to consider using them. My only comment would be whether there are sufficient viewers;print advertising is becoming less and less effective and the internet is gaining greater ground with buyer prospects.

Thanks for your insight Mike. Lots of people visit the Daytona Beach area for vacations, NASCAR races, and Bike Weeks, and many still pick up the free real estate publications. The QR codes give me a way to give them more info and photos of a property in which they may have an interest.

You have done a wonderful job inserting those QR codes! While many are not sure of their effectiveness, I know from my daughter and her friends that QR codes are the rage with Generation X! They are all so tech savvy!

As good a photographer as you are Russel you should be able to make a great photo around a QR code to make it real pretty.

I JUST ordered 250 4x4 stick-on QR codes for my website - I'll have them with me in my car and will put them on my signs as I put them out.....I may put them on my RX back window AND on my marketing brochures....

Fred, the people at the Real Estate book did all that, all I did was generate the code and send it to them. They also say they tested to be sure it would work after it was reduced for printing.
