The ever popular Birkdale Village has recently been acquired by a Cleveland-based Real Estate Investment Trust Company. New plans to enhance the size of the successful Huntersville landmark will soon be put into place. The new owners plan on adding a number of nationally known retailers similar in quality to current tenants Williams-Sanoma and Chico's. With the ground breaking of the Village at Lake Norman in Cornelius just around the corner in 2010, the new owners of Birkdale Village are aligning themselves to stay at the top when it comes to Lake Norman area entertainment hot spots.
