The Franciscan, built from 1970-72, is a gated condominium community of 193 units in zip code 92108 at the western end of Mission Valley. Bedroom/bathroom floor plans at The Franciscan include 0/1 studios, 1/1, 2/1, and 2/2, and range in size from 505 to 1,100 square feet. This is one of the few Mission Valley communities that offers 0/1 studios, popular with flight attendants and pilots for layovers.

Amenities in The Franciscan include a swimming pool, spa, outdoor grills, fountains in the landscaping, common laundry, and a fitness center.

Living at The Franciscan provides easy access to the University of San Diego, the San Diego Trolley, and Fashion Valley Mall. A short drive, Trolley ride, or bicycle ride can get you to Qualcomm Stadium, SeaWorld, Mission Bay, San Diego State University, University of San Diego, Old Town, and downtown San Diego.

Walkers, joggers, and bikers will enjoy the concrete paths along the San Diego River from Qualcomm Stadium all the way to Mission Bay, Ocean Beach, and Mission Beach, a distance of about seven miles.

HOA fees are about $265 a month and include common area maintenance, landscaping, exterior building and roof maintenance, sewer, water (including hot water!), trash pickup, cable/TV services, termite prevention, and limited insurance.
