Oct evening on the beachToday was a neat day.  I have some clients who read about our area on my websites.  They listed their home, got a full price offer on it and closed at the end of September.

They rented a place on the water for a month while they looked of a home.  Last week we found them one.  They made an offer, and it was accepted.

What was even more amazing is that they had never visited the area before this trip.  They were looking for a quick and dramatic change.

They are getting very excited because things are moving very well so far, and they have already fallen in love with the area.

I found myself getting a little buzz from their euphoria this afternoon.

After all the tough times recently in real estate and the challenging situations, it is nice to have a few moments to enjoy helping people achieve their dreams.

It is also nice to feel good about what you are doing.

Since I was already having a good day, we decided to go for a walk on the beaches over at Emerald Isle which is less than ten minutes from our home.  Our beaches run east-west and the ocean is actually to the south of them.  That just makes them special.

It doesn't take much walking on the beach to restore my soul even on a bad day.  If you put me on a beach on a good day, then I am close to heaven.

Speaking of heaven, the weather this weekend is expected to be near perfect with air temperatures in the mid to upper seventies.  The water temperature is still 81 degrees Fahrenheit at Bogue Inlet Pier on Emerald Isle.

If you have never been to North Carolina's Crystal Coast, this is a great weekend to visit.  New Bern, NC is having their MumFest and Swansboro, NC is having their Mullet Festival.  Think seafood.

Here's my travel guide to Emerald isle to help in planning that last minute trip before the cold winter air drives you inside.
