I must admit that I have not, so far, made too much use of QR codes. I would have put them on my last printing of business cards but, the whole QR code frenzy broke about two weeks after I bought 2000 cards. There you go, opportunity missed. I do very little as far as print advertising, other than the business cards.

I am responsible for promoting not only my inspection firm, King of the House Inc, but also the Bellingham Technical College home inspection training program, where I am adjunct faculty and program coordinator or lead instructor.

I find that for my inspection firm, and BTC, I get some good SEO out of quality flyers posted on craigslist. Below is a flyer promoting the home inspection training program. Near the bottom, left, is a QR code. That code has my phone number on it so any potential student can scan the code and get fast answers. You can see the flyer below, or you can click on the image and it will link directly to the craigslist posting which includes links to videos and other information.

Good evening, Steven. I totally understand and agree. I do not use QR's too much on the inspection side of the business, but I do on the photography side. There is a purpose for them and if used correctly, they can be very useful...

I'm not going to hold my breath for QR codes. Like you I don't print much outside of business cards. I may use then on the next batch but what would I put there? The same info that's on the cards, right?

Nice flyer! I do have a QR code on my business cards, but that's about it!

Should have them everywhere in my advertising.

Steve, I just can't get into the QR codes.  Maybe because I don't have the app loaded on my smartphone.  Perhaps there is a whole world of advertising I am missing.  C'est la vie.
