How did they know I was having a day off?

Yes, we had received notification of resurfacing of neighborhood streets and proposed dates. Our Circle was not on the map.

However, orange cones, especially tar speckled ones command respect.

The new surface looks good, pristine even (if black can be pristine). We had been looking a bit ragged after the repair work to fill in winter's cracks

Who can fight D-Day? I am motorized and can still get to Trax on the footpath if I have to. Otherwise I am enjoying being confined to barracks.

I was having a day off anyway

Enjoy your day off Larry....even if you can get out of your neighborhood!

That is a good looking street! I don't like the asphalt that sticks on the car's surface though. In the heat of summer, it stays soft and icky. :)

Sussie - being here reminds me of how often I am not here. A day off is good. Better call it catch up day.

Yolanda - What heat? Perhaps the asphalt will cure befor we have any. I can relate to your town as it has an Irish name. The O'S in my name is so-o hard for our locals to pronounce (and my Aussie accent doesn't help much either)

Larry O - Today the temp here was 94 degrees with heat index of 100 degrees. I guess to an Aussie it might not be hot enough. :) Many don't spell and pronounce my last name very well, either. lol
