Many Utah Home Owners are Living in Extremely Dangerous Radon Conditions

If your buying a home in Utah that hasn't had a current Radon Test than I urge you to consider having a Radon Test. Radon Testing can be added to the cost of the general home inspection for as little as $125.

Many Utah Home Owners are Living in Extremely Dangerous Radon Conditions

Utah is a MAJOR hot zone for elevated radon levels.

Nearly every single week we detect atleast 1 if not more homes that have un-safe levels of Radon. Many times the homes we test are for the buyers during our general home inspection. It's not uncommon for us to detect 3 and 4 times the radon level of what the EPA considers hazardous. At the time of testing, all we can do is inform the sellers that they have been living in severely high levels of Radon Gas and wish them the best. Sad but true!  Don't let this be you!

Radon and Smoking = VERY DANGEROUS!

 Smoking danger

The effects of radon increase by more than 900% for those who smoke!
if you are a smoker, GET A RADON TEST ASAP! The radon risk to non-smokers is a serious concern also.
The effects of smoking are very well documented, likewise the effects of radon exposure are now widely known to be a major cause of preventable death in the world today.

Anybody living with Lung Cancer would beg to have the opportunity to rewind their life and preform radon testing on their home! Don't take the chance!

Radon Testing is only the cost of 2 tanks of gas and can potentially add many healthy years to your life.

Your chances of getting lung cancer
from radon depend mostly on:

  • How much radon is in your home
  • The amount of time you spend in your home
  • Whether you are a smoker or have ever smoked

Good call to get checked. I sold a brand new never been lived in house that had big radon levels. Who knew even brand new homes could be affected. Better safe than sorry.
