Ducks with attitude

If you aren’t going to feed me, we are going to have a problem! This is the attitude this duck gave me when I came to take some pictures of his little pond area. Now, this guy came right up to me, there was no fear and he gave me some serious attitude. As you can see, he titled the head and gave me the look. He didn’t have to say a thing to me, I knew what he was saying without having to say it. Bad news for him was, I didn’t bring anything and we decided to leave since I wasn’t sure what was going to happen next.

Oh boy - I think you better get something to give that duck - and fast - or it may follow you home!

Todd, if you were wearing "mandles", you'd possibly have the duck nipping at your toes. Not something I'd suggest. Just saying.

These critters can be pretty demanding -- we had 3 who used to visit us every spring because my husband put corn and water out for them.  Believe me, when the buffet wasn't laid out, they were very vocal (and dirty), uck . . .

Perfect title for this picture.  That's too funny.  And the best shot I've ever seen of a mallard.  Who knew they could be so expressive?

Since you recognized this look so readily, I"m wondering if you've ever gotten that same "look" from your wife?

I've given my husband that LOOK. Problem is, he thinks it's sexy!

Todd,

He definitely looks like he has an attitude. Looks like he is used to eating also. :)

Todd,

I used to have a flock of backyard ducks. I could stand on the deck and yell "girls" and they would come running for bread.

Todd - Chased off by a duck??!  They can be kind of snappy when they feel like it.
