I spent the evening with a great Mastermind Group. This was a bit different for me as it was diverse businesses instead of everyone in real estate - I really liked it - I liked the different takes on marketing, how to's and other aspects and I think it opens new possibilities. A Mastermind Group to learn - grow - network.
I met a really cool lady - someone who is truly living her passion. She's a retired counselor and has extensive knowledge of horses - She opened a horse therapy farm. They help children, teens and young adults with emotional and physical hardships. It is not riding therapy it is like working therapy - her horses are specially trained.
She told us an awesome story about a teenager who was abandoned by his mom, his father is not really around and he married a women who doesn't care much about the boy either. He's developed some emotional problems and behavioral disorders and was instructed to come to the Horse Therapy. Since he was there against his will, he really did not participate at all. One day he was leaning up against the barn, arms crossed and all folded into himself and this lady went over to talk with him and try to coax him into participating - he would not have any of it. Meanwhile as she was talking with him, one of the horses started to really stir in the stall, so she went in got the horse and brought the horse out to the arena, as soon as she let the horse go, the horse ran right to the boy and placed her forehead on his chest. She said it was unbelievable and just brought tears to her eyes. Ever since then the boy works with this horse and is doing better.
Did you know horses are telepathic? I didn't - I learned that through this women and the mastermind group.

I've been invited to join it and I think I am going to in the fall. I don't think I can really start anything new right now. I do think it is a Mastermind Group that can help me Learn - Grow - Network.
