Turtle

I read Myrl's post yesterday about the two types of Wordless Wednesday posting.   As you already know. mine are rarely ever wordless.

This morning I needed to put up a for sale sign and I thought I would get an early start since the heat and I mutually hate each other.

On my way back I ran across this turtle who was out for an early morning stroll.  I could not resist taking a photo.  There must be lots of turtles on the move since I saw another one crossing the road yesterday in a different part of the County.

My last post was encouraging each and everyone to take time to enjoy the small things in life.  As  real estate agents up and about we sure get many moments like this.

JaneAnne that's possible:) Last year I helped one across the road, that was after I almost triped over it, that would have been painful, considering it was a snapping turtle and it was not happy.

In Texas, we would give the turtle a long neck beer, and sit around and sing about Luckenbach, Texas.

Cheryl why a long neck beer?  I am not familiar with it.

Jennifer - WOW!!! He looks quite a bit different/more orb-like than the turtles I'm used to seeing!  We have 5 in a pond in our atrium - red-eared sliders, maps, and a soft shell.  Not that large YET, thankfully!

Tis the season to make merry if you are a turtle.  They are everywhere and they love the "heat".

Sharon sounds like you are a turtle lover.  The one from yesterday was much larger and sort of crusty.

Suzanne it is hot here so that explains it.

Last week when going out my side door I almost stepped on one not expecting a turtle to be there!  It spent the rest of the day under a chair and the next morning it was gone.  I guess it just needed a days rest.

Jennifer:  What a cute turtle, I wish we had turtles going down the street here in California.  I'm off to read the other links in this post!

So often clients come to me wanting the secret to fast money.  I must gently remind them that wealth-building is actually built with consistent, daily actions which often mirror that of a turtle's pace - slow and steady.  That does not sound exciting because they want to hear that I can wave a magic wand and they can ‘get rich quick'.

I tell them that yes, they can get rich quick the moment that they develop a product or service that solves a problem and their target audience is willing to stand in long lines to purchase their solution the day of launch. They laugh and say "okay let's do it!"

Thanks for the mention in your blog, Jennifer!  It's greatly appreciated.  Your photo of the turtle out for a stroll reminds me that I feel like that and move like that more often than I wish to remember:-)  By the way, the turtle says her name is Shelly:-)

That is so cool. And, it's the 2nd turtle posted on AR yesterday (David Popoff had one, too).

Jennifer  I am seeing more of them on the road, too.  Is this the time of the year when they are in search of "Mr or Mrs Right" ?:)

Hi Jennifer.  I must say I have a friend who moves at the speed of a turtle.  It can be infuriating at times when I'm eager to work fast and efficiently to finish a task and move on.  Why is it then that my turtle friend seems to pass me up in accomplishments at the end of the day???

Jennifer, I love the photo.  If you don't like the heat it is good that you don't live in Spring (lol).

Hi Jennifer, I hope the turtle made it across safely - do they not realize how slow they are and how fast a car can go?  I've only seen one turtle crossing the road and actually turned around to help him get across safely.  Funny thing, once I turned around, he vanished - maybe they are faster than I thought!

Amazing the nature we come into contact with on a daily basis.  Cute picture.  By the way, the heat and I aren't friends either :-)
