Now that the market has changed how many agents will stay working? New Jersey does not have continuing education. Maybe its time they started. My understanding is that the new rule is 80% of the money is earned by 20% of the agents. Think about the benefits of having your biggest asset handled by a full time professional agent and not a part timer. Would anyone hire a doctor that worked part time as a doctor?

bruce i think over this winter our troops will dwindle.however i do agree with more education in nj for our industry. bad part is in nj its hard enough trying to keep up with the well mre than 100,000 lawyers that keep us on our toes.as far as partimers go i really dont think they are very active in this type of market and again its nice to see a fellow nj agnt on these blogs thanks Joe

Hey Bruce, I noticed your blog. Being in WI we have mandatory continuing ed and also ongoing training every Thursday at our offices:  Keefe Real Estate in Lake Geneva, WI.  The 80/20 rule has been a standard in all of my work.  Last year there were over 700 Agents in Walworth County but when you look at sales of over 5 million that brought the number to about 50.  Those over 10 million, you can imagine.  After this year the true business professional will remain.  Less crowding in my marketplace. :)
