Well, the Friendly City Days in Albertville Minnesota are in full swing.
The City-Wide Garage Sale started yesterday. And, it seems to be a great event since most of my neighbors have scored something they wanted!
The carnival started today. Tomorrow night the St. Michael-Albertville Hockey Club is hosting a pork chop dinner starting at 4 PM in Central Park. Friday is also the day of the Fireworks starting at dusk and Section 30 sponsored by Lake Community Bank is playing in the park from 8:30 to 1:00 AM!
Saturday, of course, is the last day of the Garage Sales, and the businesses also have a lot of sales going on....The carnival continues and there is a spaghetti dinner at St. Albert's parish starting at 4:30. And you can meet the new candidates for the royalty there. There is also Shane Martin starting at 6:30 in the park sponsored by the Lions. Then, G.B. Leighton takes the stage at 9:30 PM sponsored by Bolton & Menk.
It all ends, of course, with the parade on Sunday at 1:30. That parade is very-well attended and the new royalty will be in attendance. Make sure to get there early for better parking.
