The banks have received 24 million dollars this year to help home owners with problem mortgages to help to lower their payment the only problem is the banks are help only a hand full of families. What going on? Is there a check and balance systems? Who accountable to Who?

AnnouncementJ.P.Morgan Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo, the worst of the worst for mortgage modification, says the government. 

Wells Fargo, Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase & Co. have failed to help enough people permanently lower their mortgage payments so they can stay in their homes, the Treasury Department said Thursday. The three lenders have received about $24 million from the government last month for the program.

Lou - Banks receive money from the government, but hardly helping the homeowners or lending to new buyers.
