It truly is amazing the discipline in which Fox goes about it's day, delivering the pre-established Talking Points through-out every single broadcast from 6 AM until 11 PM.
Karl - so where is the distortion, at least any more distortion than the so-called mainstream news? I didn't see anything that was incorrect.
If you really want to see Distort, Attack, Repeat, just review Obama's campaign rhetoric desguised as policy speeches lately. Or almost anything out of Pelosi's mouth.
So Mike, you have no problem with a "news organization" distorting the truth for political purposes?
Karl,
There was no distortion they were all talking about Obama,s most recent speech. hey were just seeing it as grownups.
Karl, I have to read this one. My guy, who is in every other way the perfect man, is a Fox News watcher. When I explained to him one day that I found it, um, toxic, it lead to an interesting conversation.
Oh it doesn't matter that CNN and MSNBC and others attacked Bush for eight years - you only care when it is your hero that the truth is being told about. Obama is the worst President ever - Carter should be shouting and happy as can be that he is no longer considered the worst.
You are totally a liberal hack - get a life.
MSNBC host Ed Schultz apologized Wednesday night for calling conservative host Laura Ingraham a "slut," comments that cost him a week long suspension from the cable channel.
In responding to the recently released Wisconsin GOP video, “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski admitted that the mainstream media have not discussed the numerous examples of violent and negative rhetoric protesters have aimed at Gov. Scott Walker. If the same signs were carried by a tea partier, they noted, the video would be looped and played repeatedly:
In June, Brokaw slammed the press drumbeat for Hillary Clinton's exit from the Democratic primary, calling it "inappropriate" and "commentary disguised as reporting." MSNBC HOSTS ADMIT LIBERAL BIAS TOWARD TEA PARTY
New Racism Alert: MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell says it’s racist to talk about Obama’s “union bosses”
Tom Brokaw: Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann Have "Gone Too Far"
Noting about this in this post either - Karl seems to think we are all idiots that will believe this post. I could have posted hundreds of articles against the left winged media - ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN and they complain about just one poor old FOX News that doesn't report it like the liberals want - they forget about free speech and unbiased reporting - even the other side has a voice... not with the left.
Was the title of this post distort, attack and repeat? That is exactly what this is - distorting the fact that the left has all the other mainstream media - and they complain that FOX News doesn't say it exactly like liberals want. distortion at the highest level.
CYA
I know comprehension can be an issue here...I'm not saying that some reporters don't have a natural inclination toward individual political views, I AM saying that Fox has an INSTITUTIONAL allegiance to the Republican Party and that they exhibit through all thier "news" casts and talking heads ALL day, EVERY day. As the article states, they get their Talking Points to distort, attack, repeat....and they're very good at it.
BTW, the least 'biased' news is provided by The News Hour and NPR....but ya'll on 'the right' think non-biased means agreeing with the Republicans. Funny.
Jesus people, really? You guys are so mixed up that you're equating politicians speaking the way politicians speak and a supposed NEWS organization that's SUPPOSED to report the news, not misrepresent positions and/or policies then attack that misrepresentation.
Another perfect example of Fox News being, well Fox News, is the day they dicided that the rapper Common should not be invited to a White House poetry reading because he was a 'radical.' The talking point started with Fox and Friends (6 AM) and didn't end until Van Susteren(11 PM).
Really guys, you can't see the differences?
Really, Mr. Intelligence - Can't you see what the other media outlets sway towards liberalism - you ignore that because it suits you - that makes you an even more hypocrite than the others -
You have to have your head stuck in the sand or so "taken" by the liberal "main-stream" media because it suits you that you can't see how every news media has a liberal agenda/slant. They slobber all over themselves reporting for the left socialcrats.
Government run NPR is as slanted as news can get.
Paul & Nick....Sure, OK, go ahead wit' it! Not that it matters but, NPR and The News Hour were both found to be the most unbiased news organizations in America...and we have a Bush era study to prove it...actually the study showed that there were MORE Republican guests/view-points presented than Democrat ones. Again, not that it matters to either of you...because facts rarely do, but we know that you guys have no problems believing chain e-mails....hilarious!
And who goes on MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, 20/20 and all those news orgs - you are such a tool for libs - no common sense to see that one channel is killing all mainstream put together - instead of celebrating success - you cry it's unfair - typical liberal loser mentality.
Did I say it was "unfair?" Again, this is the continuing problem with you guys; misrepresent a position, then criticize and/or attack the misrepresentation. You proved my point, perfectly!
BTW, Fox is the number 1 CABLE news channel...it's highest rated program is O'Reilly which gets about 3 million viewers a night. NBC Nightly News gets about 8 million viewers a night, ABC about 7 million and CBS about 6.
You have been crying like a liberal little baby - waaaahhhh! Poor liberal that has to prove FOX News has Conservative guests on the programs - and liberals - and Liberarians - the full spectrum -
But your "other" propaganda machines - you never whine about - and why not?
You never answer the truth - you only cry that the truth distorts your misrepresentations.
And what are your facts? From your liberals articles that you post - like the Huffington Post, New York Times and your other liberal spin meisters.
Can't wait to hear another crying mantra from you - I guess I proved your point again.
Perception is reality to you - not the actual facts. Facts get in the way of your thoughts - sorry...
Nick...see previous post if you want some facts...you crack me up...Dude, all you do is CRY about Obama...laughable!
All you do is cry about Fox News and how Conservatives should keep quiet as to what is happening in this country under Obama. You give no facts - only liberal spin backed by other liberals. No numbers like 45,000,000 people on food stamps - greatest housing crisis in our nation's history - gas priced doubled under Obama - no job creation - unemployment over 9% - record deficits - no plan to solve any problems - just more and more vacations Obama has been on - one day he will stay on vacation - and leave the job of governing to grown up and one with real experience - not the Great Hype!!!
Seriously Nick, let me ask you a simple question: Where would the country be if the current administration didn't inherit an 11 trillion dollar debt, a 1 trillion dollar a year budget deficit, a banking meltdown, an economic collapse not seen since the Great Depression and not 1, but 2 wars?
Karl - you are correct, Faux News is a quasi-political organization, but that's nothing new. Most of us already know that. To be fair, their news segments are news.....yes, a conservative slant, but still news. It's the opinion shows that are egregious, they pose as news while pushing that agenda.
I do give them credit for being organized and hitting where it counts, for example, the motto of being "[sic] fair and balanced" and the notion that "the mainstream media.......". What they've done is lump everyone else into one group and labeled them as misinformed. Never mind that some media are middle of the road, some left, some extreme....none of that matters. The only thing that's relevant is that they're not Faux News and thus cannot be fair and balanced. To those of us who are clear-headed, that's laughable. But the reality is that Faux has pounded that message into the minds of millions who now believe that as gospel. How can I not applaud them for making it work?
