That picture is worth a thousand words. It made me want to chuck everything and head down to the beach to hear the waves punding the sand, smell the nice clean salt air and to feel the sea breeze on me. You are so blessed to live that close! Have a great week end!

Incredible photo. Makes you want to jump right in. The Orlando Sentinel keeps talking about the jellyfish blooming. Hopefully it isn't as bad as they are saying.
Looking good for a couple of bodyskims there Sandy. I'll have to get some speed in my steps.
That beach has my name on it, Sandy! Your Florida beaches have that wonderful fine white sand that doesn't show up often in Northern California. They're glorious to look at and walk on!
Sandy, and it's important not to forget the nose... got a little glimpse of Brevard's beaches last weekend, wish I could have spent more time walking them! Have a great weekend!

Gary, We had seen a couple of jellyfish on the beach a while back when we went. Those stings can be nasty. There's so many reasons to go to the beach.

Mary, It's been really pretty around here lately. The sun is so much hotter than people anticipate, and often they come off the beach with some serious sunburn. It can be painful.
Rob, The jellyfish get tangled in the seaweed, and sometimes if you don't see them, stepping on a tentacle can be quite painful.
Kevin, It looks like a great day for skimboarding. We'll leave that up to you. I'm afraid i'd break my neck.
Myrl, Our beaches here are so pretty. Lately, we've started seeing some seaweed in spots, but the beaches have been packed with people.
Silvia, I know you were here because of circumstances beyond your control. Perhaps next time when you're here on vacation, you'll get a chance to hit the beach. And you're right - the first thing that gets burned is the nose. So extra sunscreen is a must.
Chris, I like your way of thinking -everyday is a good day for the beach, especially around here lately.
Great point, Sandy...the words beach and sunscreen definitely should go together, or else a third word will get added to the mix: lobster! :)

Leilani, So true. Often we see people come down from the Northern states, and they spend a day in the sun, only to be terribly burned by our Florida sun. One has to be so careful.

Paul, This was a perfect day with sandy white beaches. Some days we head down to the beach and it's full of seaweed.
