Based on the feedback I'm getting from those on my e-zine list of over 3,200, I'm going to guess that you did not meet all of your goals in 2006.

If you did meet all of your goals and you had a very successful year, congratulations, but this e-mail is not for you and you should ignore the free gift I'm giving away.

However, if you did not meet your goals this year, I'd like to help you. I've put together a 5 part mini-course that will help you start the new year off on the right foot. The course will ask a few key questions that when answered correctly, will help you create the best solution to getting a jump start to your new year.

I'll gift you this mini-course (valued at $79) if you do something for me. I'd like you to answer a
few simple questions within a one minute survey.

Please click on the link below and take one minute to give me your honest feedback:

When clicking on the link above, you will be claiming your free 5 part report that I will
personally send you in order to help you create the best start to 2007 possible. Each part of the
mini-course will be delivered every 4 days because each part will help you build on the
previous part. Once you finish the mini-course, you'll know exactly what to do in January to start building a very successful year.

Thanks in advance for helping me with this survey.

'Til next time, wishing you much success...

As we approach the start of another year it is important to develop our plan of attack. I have worked with Skip for three years now and have worked my plan successfully each year. By committing to a well thought out practical plan a lot of the guess work and stress in sales goes away. This past year I was able to tap into Skip through his Business Achievement Gym to make some critical decisons in how I operate my business. Have someone to be accountable to was helpful. It kept me on track and focused on my goals.

Let's face it. In the last three years the mortgage business was easy. People called, we wrote loans, they closed. It is going to get harder and those of us with an effective plan will continue to do well. The rest.......

I just took your survey, and look forward to seeing the report as it comes in.

In all the years I've been in real estate, 25, I've never really had a written plan that I followed.  I have plans in my head that I work, but have never put one in writing.  I don't want to go through in 2007 what I did this year!

Hey Skip,

Me again. I know this was written two months ago but like I said before, I just joined over the weekend and found this entry tonight. I took your survey and look forward to your analysis of it and also the mini-course.

Thanks again,

Lisa,

No problem, thanks for visiting my blog and for adding me as an associate. I'm really glad you are finding value in my postings. Keep checking back for more, knowing I've got readers keeps me motivated to create new ideas and concepts to help everyone function at their peak.

What would you say is your biggest challenge in building your business?

Hey Skip,

I guess I would have to say that my biggest challenge is keeping the momentum going and a clear focus on what I need to do in order to achieve my goals. I am easily distracted.

I remarried two years ago, have four children of my own and a step-son. Three of these five children are grown, two are still at home. I also have two grandchildren. My family depends on me A LOT, even the adult ones. I have to constantly remind them that although I have a flexible schedule, I do have a job and cannot jump whenever something comes up. Maybe if I learn to have a clear cut written down daily activity plan and can say, look, I have this scheduled already, it may help me to stay on track.

In our weekly sales meeting this morning, our broker gave a little pep talk about how much our company has grown in the past year (we are the number one independent agency and number two overall in our market area). He reminded us that our local Board of Realtors has doubled in size in just two years. Although the market is strong and new construction is booming, the pie is being sliced thinner and thinner and we need to work harder to get our slice of it. My problem is, a talk like that will motivate me to dig in and "get my slice" and then in two months, I will be dragging again. I don't have anything concrete to work off of, no real plan.

Lisa,

Your situation is very common and is something I deal with in many of my individual coaching clients.

Most solo-entreprenuers such as yourself are pulled in so many different directions and have to wear many different hats, both personally and professoinally that it is to get distracted and off course.

So, what is your strategy for breaking through that pattern and how can I help?

Skip,

Right now, my strategy is to read all I can about making a business plan (I have downloaded one from another blog), and implementing success strategies. You can help by continuing to blog about what you do best so I can read all I can, I guess. LOL!

Lisa,

That's a good start, remember not to get too bogged down in writing a 'business plan.' I'd prefer to see you create an Action Plan. Use the Business Plan to create some focus but don't stop there you must create an Action Plan or Strategy from that and begin taking consistent action. I've seem too many 'business plans' that just collect dust.
