2011 Up-Dated Progress Report as of July 2011 for the Base Relocation to Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Five thousand three hundred positions had been transferred by end of May 2011. 6,500 to 6,600 are anticipated to be in place by September through October of 2011 with 1,600 to 1,700 vacancies.  The total number of direct jobs coming to Aberdeen Proving Ground has been indicated at 8,300 by the installation.

A 65 percent transfer rate will be realized in the APG community, far exceeding the 25 percent anticipated early in the BRAC process. As of Mid May. 4,442 were on board at APG, 271 were still in temporary facilities. Breaking the numbers down, 2,313 are transfers; 1,348 new hires; 119 military and 762 are contractors. There were 849 personnel still working at Fort Monmouth, NJ, who have declined transfer of function and are not coming.

Of the 1,251 that are planning to transfer and relocate to Harford County, Cecil County or Baltimore County and find Homes in the area, 871 of them have personnel change of station orders. The hiring goal for C4ISR by the end of fiscal year is 785 and is on schedule with 415 hired so far this fiscal year.

The Joint Program Executive Office (JPEO) has 126 positions trasitioned to APG. A total of 237 civilian and 10 military are anticipated. By April 4, the majority of ATEC-Alexandria work-force was at APG. The troop ready date for the U.S. Army Test & Evaluation Command (ATEC) is Aug. 1

Five hundred of 950 moving vans have delivered equipment to APG. There are 120 labs to be configured.
