In the paper this morning it stated that companies are buying more machinery and equipment than they are hiring people. Their thinking, quite frankly, was you don't have to train machines, so it's more cost efficient, than hiring and training people. It went on to say that what is really adding insult to injury is that the equipment they are buying is being built overseas. Have we as a nation gone completely crazy?
I think we lost a lot of vision along the way. Companies are given all kinds of breaks to buy capital and increase their bottom line, now it is time to step up to the plate and invest in American and it's citizens.
