Negativety on AOL

By
Real Estate Agent with Zitomer Real estate Inc

Seems like everytime I go online with AOL there is some negative article regarding real estate. i.e Countrywide's in trouble, owners over their heads, developers hurting etc. Shouldn't the NAR take action? I feel some sort of damage control would help. Maybe a press conference with the facts about real estate and what's going on. Yes it was not what it was a few years ago, yes there is a lot of inventory in certain markets, but over-all we are still holding our own. How many real estate agency's have folded in your area? Has a Prudential, Remax,Weichert, Century 21 closed in your neck of the woods? I highly doubt it.  I feel that if AOL or any other on-line server that acts so irresponsibly should be held accountable.

Joke of the Day

I had someone call me yesterday from the Atlantic City area saying they wanted to list their house and were relocating...It was mayor Bob Levy.

Personally I am tired of hearing and watching what the media is portraying on the current market. I am still listing and selling properties. It may be a little tougher but the ones who are working the market are still making money, those who are not , are probably the ones reporting how bad the times are ! Work, Work, Work, if you don't you have no-one to blame but yourself !

Melissa, you are sooooooo right. Cream always rises to the top. No matter what business you are in, tenacity and effort reap rewards.

My work has not slowed down and actually because of the market being soft and am able to put people in homes because they can afford it now then when we tried two years ago.

I think NAR would like to act, but they're probably tied up with the Justice Department lawsuit now.

Hi Al :)

Welcome to ActiveRain - I'm glad you joined!

HA HA - good one.  You know, it's not just aol, the entire megia that has been piling on to the Real Estate Market; by my count, going on five years! And they wonder why confidence is so low!

Anyway, I hope you have as much fun as I do here ... but be careful!  There's a reason why some of us call it "AddictiveRain!" (hee hee)

Enjoy!!!

Best,

Christina
