Our favorite weekend dinner spot is the Italian Caffe in Murphy, North Carolina. You’ll find all the traditional dishes and of course the best pizza in town, but the Italian Caffe also has the best steak dinner in town too.

Piero (Peter) Perna, Owner/Chef, and his lovely wife Pietra, serves up such a huge cut of steak that Lee even shares his cooked to perfection broccoli and baked potato with me - even though my fresh pasta Fettuccini Alfredo is more than I can finish anyway.

After a dinner like this we don't have a bit of room for any of Pietra’s homemade delicious deserts, but you can bet we take a slice or two home for later to go along with our leftovers!

They also have the best Lunch Buffet anywhere around too.

Italian Caffe sounds like a wonderful restaurant. The photos are great and those desserts look fantastic. I can understand why you have to take them home. Newcomers and visitors to the area will love getting a review of the restaurant before they visit. And, an idea of what Murphy, NC has to offer.

Lee and Carol, oh my this looks delicious...I haven't had any solid food since Saturday evening ... just liquids. After the surgery, or perhaps the first of the week I will be able to enjoy some solid food.
