John and Amy Hershberger wedding I attended my nieces wedding this past weekend in Iowa City, Iowa. It was a lovely service which was meaningful and rich. Amy Miller married John Hershberger and began a rich and wonderful journey.

The picture above is of Amy and her grandmother, my mother at the reception which was held in Wellman, Iowa. This facility was quite nice for a small midwest community. I was very impressed.

My wife and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary the following day.

I was reminded of the blessing these family relationships are for me. These activities, which bring together many generations, are so sacred to me. I had a great time.

I was also reminded how fleeting life is. It happens so quickly. I saw folks at this wedding, which I have not seen for over 25 years. It seems like yesterday that I graduated from high school and now my youngest has graduated from college.

Today, give thanks for the meaningful relationships in your life. Take some time to reach out to family members. Live today as though it is your last. Live with purpose.

Nice. I attended a 50th over the weekend. It is scary how time passes. I saw nieces and nephews that I recall being toddlers the last time I saw them. I also noticed how old my aunts and uncles are becoming. I was very glad to see them all.

During the recessitation of the vows, my husband of 23 years grabbed my hand. It was a very sweet gesture and i am very very lucky to have him!!!

Hi Cal- I've had some curves, but God is great and this too shall pass. And I'm firm in my faith that all those that have gone before me that I love and miss I will meet again by and by. I have felt and appreciated the prayers for my family. Today we had a "brush with fear", but fortunately all the people are okay. There was an accident and it was really bad, but my cousin who was driving and his passenger walked away while the truck was toast. He's been married for 10 years and just a few short weeks ago they were blessed with a daughter. Today... was a good day.

Thank you, Cal. There were pastors from 7 churches at his funeral nit including his pastor. I worked at a funeral home for 3 years and have never seen so many pastors at a funeral. Wow!
