ALAMEDA RESTAURANTS IN THE ALAMEDA THEATRE DISTRICT  Alameda Historic Theatre was refurbished and at the same time the City approved the addition of a theatre Complex, parking structure, wine bar and restaurant.  The renovation of the Theatre was a powerful force for revitalization in Park Street district.  The activity and location attracted several fine restaurants.

                                                                                                                                                                                                              

Angelas Bistro and Bar in AlamedaAngelas is a charming restaurant in the heart of the Park Street District in Alameda.  It is down the street from the Historic Alameda Theatre at the corner of Oak Street and Central Avenue.  Angela's is a great place to see and be seen.  The food is delicious modern California Mediterranean fare. Menus are changed frequently to showcase both creative and seasonal inspirations.  Angela's has a fine wine list and their desserts are wonderful. Angela's is located at 2017 Central Ave in Alameda.  Their phone number is 510-522-5822.

 

 

 

 

Pappo's Dinner Entree in Alameda

 

Pappos is another fine restaurant across the street from the Theatre.  According to Pappo's website the restaurant is an award winning restaurant and the top Zagat-rated restaurant in Alameda. Pappo's serves "New American" food which uses the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients that are produced sustainably, locally and whenever possible, organically, according to their website.  Pappo's is located at  2320 Central Avenue in Alameda.  Their phone number is 510-337-9100.

 

 

The next time you want to go to a movie and have dinner, remember the Alameda Restaurants in the Alameda Theatre District.  You'll be able to see a gorgeous theatre and have a delicious meal.  A parking garage at Central Avenue and Oak Street in Alameda offers reasonable parking.

I lifted them from both restaurants' websites.  I have tried taking pictures of food, but they never look good.  When you come to Alameda, be sure and go to one or the other.

If you haven't yet, then you should go to Zen's Asian Fusion Tapas bar. I've taken so many clients and associates there, many of whom are foodies. Everyone has enjoyed everything we've ordered.

Try: kimchee rice, seafood steak (tuna) salad with avocados asparagus and other veggies, kakuni pork, Zen's melt, duck vermicelli, Asian fries....or call me. I'll go with you.

Pacita:  Yes, I've been to Zen and it is very good.  But I was writing about those restaurants on the same block as the theatre.  Next time, I'll review Zen, Barceluna and Asena. Thanks for the reminder.
