The Still Point comes to Clarksville!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting the owners of The Still Point in Clarksville.  Tori Paide and Marla Peoples are very warm and welcoming women who found a common passion for helping clients improve their health and well being.

Marla has lived in Howard County for some time and has practiced acupunture for many years here as well.  Tori is new to Clarksville--she had a home built just within the past year-- and has found our community to be health conscious and welcoming.  Tori is also the owner of The Still Point in Takoma Park, Maryland.  She felt the timing was right to expand her business model and a perfect opportunity presented itself in Clarksville.  Visit their website for more information:  www.stillpointmindandbody.com.

Located in the heart of Howard County, 12451 Clarksville Pike, was formerly the home of Artie’s Ice Cream.  This is not Artie’s anymore~the transformation from on old, rather dated ice cream window into a beautifully designed space with hardwood flooring, several stylish and tranquil treatment rooms, and lots of natural light make this space most inviting.

So, what exactly is The Still Point?  The Still Point is a wellness spa designed with beauty and total body  in mind.  Both Tori and Marla are excited about the n skin care products that are all natural and healing for young and not so young skin.  I can testify to that first-hand.  My teenage daughter, Kylie, has eczema which results in irritated skin from time to time.  After visiting The Still Point, I learned about a product called Combat-Ready Balm by Skincando for all types of skin ailments.  Kylie tried the balm and within one day, her eczema was gone!  Nothing we’ve ever used has worked like that.

The Still Point offers a variety of services such as waxing, massage, holistic skin care, and acupuncture.  The Still Point also assists clients with make up selection and application.  The Still Point will soon be adding yoga to its list of many features and services.  Keep an eye out for class times and information.
