Green is in! Did you know that Eco-friendly features can help make your home more attractive to buyers? A few inexpensive improvements can actually transform your home to one that is environmentally friendly.

  • Start by replacing all your incandescent light bulbs with energy saving fluorescent ones that typically consume 65% - 75% less electricity than regular light bulbs. This will help save you money because they last up to 10 times longer than regular bulbs. Also, by switching to energy-saving CFL light bulbs, you lessen greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere
  • Then swap out your traditional showerheads and sink faucets with water saving alternatives. Check out:WaterSavingIdeas
  • Use non-toxic paint to spruce up the walls this will provide a beautiful yet safer home for your family, while protecting the environment. Go to:MakeYourHomeEcoFriendly
  • If you're going to be replacing windows or appliances, be sure to choose those with an energy star label.
I would love to here some of your ideas on how we can make our homes more energy sufficient.

Solar hot water.  www.jenranhomes.com

More recycling, more composting, and use natural alternatives to pesticides/fertilizers.  Try natural alternatives to chemical cleaners in the home as well.  Every bit helps!
