The Assessor's parcel number refers to a mapbook record, which shows all basic survey and deed description information used to identify a property. The parcel number consists of four parts: 1. The Assessor's map book 2. The map page number and the block on the map 3. The individual parcel number 4. The subdivision number For example, the number 1234-567-89-0000 would mean 1234 of the Assessor's maps, map page 56, block 7 of that page, and parcel 89 of that page and block. The last four digits, normally zero, are used to identify separate interests when a parcel is subdivided, as in a condominium.
