Seaview Village: Staged to Sell

The beauty of this model unit for Seaview Village, Bridgeport CT, is it's seaside flavor, without the "Nantucket" look - which wouldn't work in this neighborhood. These townhouses are located near Long Island Sound, but it's an urban location. The attention of the target audience was captured, based on the comments young couples and families made as they were touring while I finished the installation! Instead of seashells in baskets, I opted for neutral looks on the large pieces, and added lots of textures: woven rattan pieces, linen drapery, wooly throw, silky bed linens...overall neutral color scheme with lots of green and a dash of red for flavor...patterns and art were based on leaves - in the china, on the pillows and art. The good news is, they're already selling! Here's the RES:

Julia - I really like that you didn't just automatically go with a Nantucket type theme - that certainly wouldn't appeal to the broadest audience - no wonder they're selling already!

Julianna: The gingko leaf motif kept popping up as I was shopping for this project; it appears in much of the art. I loved those sconces in the gingko pattern - Martha Stewart for KMart, if you can believe! Julie
