Real Estate - for professionals in this industry it can be all consuming!  Taking up all of our time, potentially impacting our personal lives, etc.  But from professional and business standpoints, its not a bad idea to look at other industries and examine their business models.  There are definitely things that are used in other industries that could be applied to real estate and vice versa.  Once again, I ran into a great article discussing this topic at Realtor Magazine Online - here are some of the high points:
