Hello, I Am An ActiveRain Ambassador and I am Here To Help You !
That may sound strikingly familiar , but no I am not from the government, we know how that worked out. I am a member of the ActiveRain Ambassadors and if you are newer in the Rain and there are things you need help with, the Ambassador members really can help you get a fast start.
If you haven't become a Rainmaker as yet, you definitely do need to speak with an Ambassador as we will help you understand the true value in gaining Rainmaker Status.
ActiveRain like anything else takes a while to work through all the many nuances, what all the tools do and how to use them most efficiently. Being a REALTOR® with a hobby in photography, I add lots of photos to my posts ( I call myself a PhotoBlogger ) and the photos need to be uploaded, titled, sized and placed properly to show off the post to it's best advantage.
You may wonder how all this was accomplished by the earlier members before the Ambassador program was brought into being. Well, it a way, the Ambassador program existed from day one. There are members that just knew how use the site from it's inception and they helped the rest of us figure it all out. We called that " Paying It Forward". I don't know if we coined that phase or not but this is how most of us learned early on.
The staff in the Rain with the help of some of the techno talent of the members put together tutorials on how things needed to be done. Members with advanced understanding made many of their own tutorials as well. And guess what, none of these are lost, in fact the Ambassadors are at this time, sending into the ActiveRain headquarters, all the tutorials we have available in the network to create a library of reference materials.
One of the outstanding members, Brad Andershon, actually ended up working at headquarters as Community Manager and he created tutorials from A to Z on many of the How To's needed to optimize the whole blogging experience. Naturally when that kind of talent surfaces, it is not unusual for that person to be recognized in the larger industry and while he is still a very active Ambassador member, his main job is now working with Zillow.
The point is, most anything that needs to be done or known here in the Rain likely has tutorials and they can be made available soon in an easy place to locate them, the new Tutorial Library. In the mean time, you may have needs today or tomorrow and want help. So the Ambassadors are here to help you. If we don't know how to help you with a particular need, we can call on other Ambassadors with that particular knowledge. You can also get enrolled in the Free classes sponsored by our ActiveRain University. Use this link to get the schedule of classes and sign up. I have attended many of these classes and they are wonderful.
Please understand that those of us who have ambassador status here in the Rain do not receive compensation from ActiveRain. We are not part of the staff, we are members just like you. We do this because we love the network and it is a way for us to give back for all the help we received and still receive from our many friends and readers here in the Rain. We call this our " Paying It Forward" just like the early member founders did back when. One day when you feel you have successfully embraced the many features available with the network or if you have a particular skill set that can help others here in the Rain, you may also want to pursue the Ambassador Status for yourself and there will be something more on that in due time coming out from ActiveRain headquarters.
Here is an ActiveRain staff post with all the links for getting started. It is titled " How to Get Started On ActiveRain". There are many great links contained in the post even for those that just need a refresher or specific links to many of the How to's , the ActiveRain University schedule, etc.
The Ambassadors of ActiveRain welcome you and encourage you to let us know how we can help you attain your goals to maximize your online presence and to gain the personal stature as a top notch Blogger.
