Time for the June Blog Tour....  blogs outside... really, outside of ActiveRain. 

There was an April Blog Tour in the WordPress group on ActiveRain.

If you would like visitors to your WordPress (Blogger, Typepad, etc.)  site let us know the URL.

How old is your WordPress* site? 

What is new with your WordPress* site? Have you introduced any recent changes to your WordPress* site?

My WordPress.org blog is ColumbusBestBlog.com and you could visit it on your cell phone NOW.  You always could but I have a mobile version now.  Thanks to Margaret Woda and Alison Nicklin Shuman I finally put a mobile plugin, in place on my WordPress.org blog.  I still have a lot of work to do but you may  visit my WordPress blog via computer, Ipad or smart phone, if you have time to tour in June. 

Just before the April Blog Tour Rich Cederberg introduced us to the "Do Follow" plugin...  That plugin removes the evil "No Follow" attribute from comments (juice.... people visiting get juice...)

Blog tours were a tradition on ActiveRain in 2007. This is an excerpt from a blog tour post.

 

April 2007 Blog Tour

* I am saying your WordPress site because my main blog is a WordPress site, but if you blog on Blogger.com, Typepad or something outside ActiveRain.  This is not to be confused with ActiveRain Outside blogs.  I love ActiveRain Outside blogs, but this is about a separate blog. Most people are doing WordPress.org sites now in the real estate industry.

If you want to direct blog tourists to a particular post please give us the url to visit, as a link or url. 

As an example visit my Top 10 Dangerous Cities in America ( in example the link) to see if your city is there.  Dangerous?

My WordPress blog was started in 2007.  ColumbusBestBlog.com  has a new mobile plugin.  It borrowed the idea from members of the ActiveRain community, Margaret and Alison.  Thanks ladies.

I still don't have a wordpress blog.  Going to join some smart groups and see if I can figure it out myself, our slow summer season is upon us, will have plenty of time.

Are you asking for blog urls here, in comments?  A regular tour would be a good thing, monthly.

In 2006 or early 2007 we were doing blog tours pretty regularly...  monthly.  Maureen Francis was doing them.  Yes if anyone wants to invite people to tour a blog, add a link. 

Leaving a comment on a WordPress, Typepad etc. does not give points like leaving a comment on ActiveRain does but getting out of ActiveRain can be good for SEO especially those who have the Do-Follow plugin. 

I am at WordCamp today... I am in a very elementary class...  it is good refresher.
