These fellas made me a little bit jealous as they waded into the Potomac River on a very warm afternoon near White's Ferry.  Silly me, I forgot to bring a bathing suit!   And I forgot to bring Willie the Labradoodle.

That is so cute!  Makes me jealous to be near the water.  Poor little Willie was probably home wishing he was there too. :)

Perfect photos for this time of year. Too bad Willie was not around to enjoy the fun.

Pat - looks like you need to take another trip there with the bathing suit and Willie the Labradoodle.  You're both missing all the fun.

Hi Pat, I can tell from the way you wrote this that you weren't wearing clothes suitable to hike up or down, which ever the case. Guys are usually always able to roll up their pants and just get in. Sadly, few do however. Spontaneous pleasure like this should be everyone's agenda and not just the dogs, LOL.

Patricia, those guys are having so much fun. I have three Chows, and I know from exprience that the two older ones wouldn't be caught dead in the water. We went to the ocean beach once, and although they were happy on the beach they ran from the waves. My youngest one however, is much more roudy - he might just like it! Guess I'll have to take all three and see what happens.

I love that picture and would love to have those dogs. Did they get what they were looking at?

Pat, they look like they are having such a good time.  Watching them up close would definitely make me want to wade right in with them, bathing suit or not, and then good sense would settle in and..... cause me to just watch instead.

Those two certainly look like they are used to that drill!  Notice the same stance and how they are focused on the same thing?

When Willie read this blog he's not going to be happy Pat!  I look forward to his response.

Hey!  Thank you for your comments.  And I did consider a little wade but decided against it.  Willie loves the water, and as we speak he is visiting my sister and the Dog Whisperer BF in Baltimore.  Part of their routine is to take him to a big lake where he can get a great water fix.

Pat - My boys would be right there with them, but I can't say the same for my dogs.

Hi, Pat! We've had a week of cool weather here, but it's heating up again. We're not near a body of water, so dogs or not, we can't jump in to cool off. :)

Those are some good looking dogs.  Luckily for our boys, it has been very cool here.  I have only worn shorts to the shop once so far this year.

we are right in the heart of the dogs days of summer and as I am out measuring houses in 98 degree heat with humidity wish I could jump into some water like this when finished!
