What makes you so good?  Do more of it!

Few of us will live long enough to fix our weaknesses. Relax; life is too short to focus on our shortcomings.  What has God given you that works?  The more you know about what you do best, the better you will be able to do it.

Do a little research with your friends who are also your customers.  Ask them in a positive moment why they buy from you.  Some answers will surprise you, but you will find that several people will tell you the same things. Those are the things that will bring home the bacon. You can go to the bank on them once you know what they are.  "You never left me high and dry."  "You return my phone calls within the hour."  "You are not slow about following up when my buyer has a concern"  "You do what you say you will do."  "You are a solid professional."  (You look the part!)  "You are not afraid to admit a mistake and fix it."  "You cover my back when something falls apart."  "Technically, you really know your stuff."  "When you don't know something, you don't guess."  "Nothing seems to bother you!"  (Little do they know.)  And on it goes.

Build on the strengths you were built with.  Nobody's perfect.  Go with what you have been given; you will have more than enough to get the job done once you know what you are doing that others appreciate.

This really supports what I've always believed: Know your strengths and work in the area of your strengths trying to avoid weaknesses. Good post....

Nice post Kevin!  I agree, we are given different "talents", find out what you are naturally good at and go with it...that's when you will find true happiness.
