Homestead is one of the newer communities in Maricopa located off of the main road Porter. The area near Porter Rd is the up in coming area. Currently the city library, the fire department, Walmart and the biggest park in Maricopa, Pacana Park are all located on this main road. Soon to come is the hospital. A couple of miles east off the main road, John Wayne Parkway (347) it is sometimes overlooked from the prospective buyer. Don't let a couple miles deter you from owning a newer home in a great area.
