Smartphones Say the Darnedest Things!

 

So, there I was this evening, after a loooong day, sitting in the Kennebec Valley Board of Realtors meeting.

Tired.  I had rushed to this meeting, late, from a septic inspection.  I was trying to make small talk with the two very nice ladies from Maine Savings that I had just met.  Tired.

 

 

Anyway, I receive a text from my husband which says that if I'm not too tired on my way home, if I stop at Sears and pick up a new belt for my vacuum he will fix it tomorrow.  The message ends with "Model 116 Power Mate.  Ovulation."

 

 

 

 

I reread it.  Yup, says "ovulation."  Confused, I think: there's a part on my vacuum that has a brand name of Ovulation???"

So, to clarify, I text back: "Ovulation? Like what a woman does before a period???"

 

 

 

 

His text response:  "No, not ovulation.  The phone did that on its own.  It was LVU."

I laughed so hard I cried.

Gotta love autocorrect.

Hi Lisa,

That is hysterical!  I shared your story with my wife and she almost wet herself!  She spends hours at a time on her phone and finding out about others.

I often have my iPhone put in extra words that I did not want...
