Good Night ActiveRain...
Wow! Today was a stark contrast from all the hustling, jostling and mayhem. The order of the day was to lay back, chill, and enjoy. Gone were the groping, pressing, shoving long lines. Instead, Sea World was a breath of fresh air as compared to Universal Studios. At times, I felt as if I almost had the park to myself, as lines were short, and the attractions were really cool.
The high light of the day was seeing One Ocean. To me, there is nothing more impressive than seeing those big wales jump out of the water, turn somersaults and perform the way they do. I was so impressed, I went back to watch the show again.
The picture below, is one of many that I took using the camera's high speed processing. At the speed these whales move, 6 frames a second didn't seem fast enough to capture all the action. Oh well. Below is one of the many I took at One Ocean. If you have a chance to go by Sea World, this is a must see attraction...
Hey seeing Orca jump like that give me hope, that's it off to the hottub. See you tomorrow.
Michael- it's been so long since I've been to Sea World.. seeing your picture of the whale makes me want to take a trip there. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
Michael - I love sea World and dare I say I take it over Disney World any day. I don't think it matters what age you are Sea World is a fantastic way to spend the day. Glad you're having fun!
Good evening Michael,
What a fabulous picture! Sea World is fun and Kristine is right..it doesn't matter what age you are Sea World is a fantastic way to spend the day!! Glad to see you are enjoying yourself!!
Micheal...
It's an awesome photo. I have tinkered with fast shutter speeds but I a slow-speed kind of guy!!! Now get some sleep.
Michael, glad you are having a great time. We definitely have some hot weather here the last few days for your visit, Love going to SeaWorld.
Used to have season tickets to Seaworld in Orlando years ago...love that place!! i am so jealous!!
Michael ~ I love the photo. I think you captured the action quite well. And the color is brilliant. Hope you are enjoying your trip.
Hi Michael....I think you did a fine job at catching the Whale in Motion, you certainly captured the moment!
Michael,
Looks like you are ready to head to the ocean and see the big boys jump. I have seen grays out here in the pacific it is pretty amazing.
The San Juan Islands have some of the largest resident pods of killer whales in the world and you can see those animals in the wild which is cool also.
But I like the shows also, especially when they launch the handlers, That must be something to be a part of.
Good to know that Sea World is a gentler trip than Universal Studios. Those plans are in our future too.
Michael, Great photo! I was there in the early 90's and it was a great time then. I'm going to pull out my old photo albums and check it out. Thank's
I went to Sea World in the fall of 09 and saw that show. I did not get a good a shot as yours, but did get a few decent ones of the whales.
Good evening Michael. I have already told you how much I like your inspection lessons and pics. Good to see you know how to relax too.
Nice pic, Michael! One of the best things about SeaWorld is seeing the reaction of people when they realize they've unknowingly sat in the Splash Zone.
The process of training these whales to do the summersaults fascinates me, Michael...
