Memories!

Did you ever wonder just how much of our brains are busy storing memories?  Good ones, bad ones, all of those help to define the who we have become.

We currently have the privilege of marketing a place that has such strong memories and so much love, you can feel it.  Sixty years of family gatherings, joys and sorrows are all wrapped up in this 41 acres of ancient trees which form canopies over the three structures and the sparkling lake.

One of the structures is the sort of place that pops into your mind when you think of a lake cottage.  Years ago it was the main structure on the property. 

The lake was meticulously created by the San Jacinto River authority in the 1950s.  It has a clay bottom and although the pier that once invited visitors to spend time on it is no longer there, there are a number of ideal spots where a new one could be constructed.  The lake adds an extra texture and dimension to the property.  It also could add a measure of security in these uncertain food supply days.  Think of starting your very own fish farm here.  You could also have an impressive garden close by utilizing how ever many acres of the fertile forest floor you might wish to.  Fencing would be essential to keep the deer, raccoons, possums, squirrels and  armadillos from enjoying the fruits of your labor.  And speaking of fruits, how would you like to have a small orchard all your own for harvesting?  The owners had planed peaches and pears in the past so that would be totally doable here.  Just imagine having all this and room for a few head of cattle, sheep or goats too.

The other two buildings are a large three bedroom home of 1976 vintage and a rustic old church building the uses for which are unlimited.
