Home Ownership Still a Great Investment for Denver Homeowners

Denver HomeownersDenver homeowners will be happy to know they're in good company when it comes to national sentiment about home ownership. According to a recently released survey of 2000 voters by the National Association of Home Builders, 75% of Americans say that "owning a home is the best long-term investment they can make and is worth the risk of ups and downs in the housing market." Our country still believes strongly in the value of home ownership. After all, what's not to love - a place you can call your own, that you can decorate as you please, where you can raise your family and build life-long memories - all these are part of what we fondly call the "great American dream."

What's more, when survey respondents were asked whether they'd recommend buying a home to a friend or family member just starting out, an overwhelming 80% said "Yes." Even non-homeowners still want their slice of the home ownership pie. The survey also found that 73% of those who did not currently own a home still said their goal is eventually to buy one.

If you're thinking about becoming a homeowner, you're in good company. As an extra incentive to motivate you to consider acting, consider that the timing may never be better for you than it is right now. The so-called excess of homes on the market has been shrinking, but the ones that are available are reasonably priced with historic low mortgage rates still available. Various laws being considered in Congress may eventually increase the amount of money required for a down-payment, which could cause problems for you down the road. These perfect buying conditions will not last forever, so it could finally be time for you to find a home to call your own.

If you've decided that buying a Denver home can be a great investment for you, our team of real estate experts at Bandy Homes can answer your questions and show you some terrific homes in Aurora; real estate in Castle Rock, thriving in one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation, including the two communities of homes in Castle Pines; and properties in the Denver Metro Area, including a wide variety of affordable homes in Littleton.
