Sounds like fun, Barbara! I have very fond memories of loading the kids in the minivan for drive-in movies.  They usually fell asleep before the movie was over, but you felt like you just had to pass on the experience to them!

George -- Well, it's not a 'real' drive-in. They just call it that.  We used to have two in Bridgeport that were so popular.  I think they closed them down -- or maybe they burned down -- in the early 80s or thereabouts.  So, it's been a while since I went as well.

Peggy -- I remember there used to be a big one up there in Berlin. Think I may have gone there.  Don't think there are any real drive-ins around anymore. They were so much fun.

Maggie -- You're right. It is specifically geared to be a family event and won't cost them a penny!

Barbara, I didn't know the drive-in movies still exist. It sounds like a fun thing to do.

Barbara, We have outdoor movies here too but it doesn't run through the summer. It is a great time had by all, and they even have fun and games and contests before the show!

Kwee -- Well, it's not the REAL thing, but it's still outdoors!

Larry & Sheila -- We only run ours in the summer as you can see. Being outdoors is a lot of fun compared to being cooped up in a theatre.

Sounds like a fun thing to do for the summer, Barbara.  We don't have any drive-ins left here at all.

Laura -- Outdoor theaters are great on a warm summer night. It's especially fun for families and all for FREE!

Toni -- It is. Well, we don't have any more of the 'real' drive-ins anymore, but this bears a close resemblance.

OMG!  I was just talking to someone the other day about going to the drive-in movies.  That was so much fun.  The big screen, the tilt of the car, the crazy speaker hanging on the window, popcorn all over the seat.
